Construction of new retail units known as “Fosse Park West” and demolitions and alterations to the existing Fosse Park Shopping Centre Food Court, to be known as ”Food Central”.
Fosse Park West works entailed the demolition of existing structures (previously Everards Brewery), the erection of site hoardings, service disconnections and site investigations.
The works included the demolition of existing Gas Governor building; culvert diversion and culverting open water course; stopping up of Everard Way including service diversions; off-site highway works under section 278; erection of two ‘anchor’ retail units; a main retail terrace and link mall (east); Car park and service yards including all infrastructure and Public realm improvements/landscaping and pedestrian link to the adjacent Food Central.
“Food Central” works entailed the demolition of the existing food court (including the existing management suite and toilet areas) and rebuilding new retail units and a link from the existing Fosse Park Shopping Centre to the new Fosse Park West development.
